PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill High School's Advanced Science Research (ASR) student Brittney Pauta was accepted to the New York Medical College STAR Program, which matches a student to conduct authentic research with a medical scientist or professor at New York Medical College.

Photo Credit: ContributedPauta is the first science research student to be accepted to this program. She will work this summer with Dr. Kobets to research epigenetics. When Pauta returns in the fall, she will have real data to write her research paper, and compete in fairs.
