PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill High School students recently won the annual Business Skills Olympics, defeating 16 other Westchester County schools, according to an article on Patch.com.
The students won the gold cup for their ideas regarding Twitter’s recent initial public offering, the article said.
The team comprised five seniors, one junior and three sophomores, who gave a 15-minute presentation on the topic, the article said. Faculty advisers from Peekskill were not allowed into the room while students were developing their presentations.
Each Peekskill student was given a Kindle Fire as a winning prize, the article said, and the students and their families also will be treated to a celebratory dinner where medals will be awarded to the students.
