Peekskill Board Of Education Leaders Sworn In, Ready For Coming School Year

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Board of Education Trustee Lisa Aspinall-Kellawon was recently sworn in as board president and is set to help lead the school district through the 2016-2017 school year, according to a post on the Peekskill school district's Facebook page.Aspinall-Kellawon was joined at the July 5 meeting by Trustee Richard Sullivan, who was sworn in as board vice president, according to the post.

Aspinall-Kellawon was first elected to the school board in 2012 and is currently on her second term, according to a profile on the district's website.

She attended the College of New Rochelle, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business, and the College of Mount St. Vincent, where she earned a master's degree in Multicultural Education, according to her district profile. She has 25 years of teaching experience.

Sullivan, according to his district profile, was first elected to the school board in 2014.

According to the profile, he works as a theatrical engineer on Broadway and volunteers in numerous activities, including as a coach and board member for the LaPolla Little League.
