The Peekskill City School District’s new superintendent of schools, James Willis, will be welcomed at a community reception on Monday, June 6 at 7 p.m. in the district’s Administration Building.
The event is being sponsored by the district’s Parent Teacher Organizations, and all are welcome to attend.
Willis is currently the superintendent of schools in Utica, New York, and will take up the reins in Peekskill on July 11. He will be visiting the Peekskill schools throughout the day.
“I am very much looking forward to meeting all our parents and neighbors,” said Willis. “My wife and I are looking for a home in the area, and we have been very impressed by the warm welcome we have received so far.”
