This year’s production of Macbeth visited the school Friday, April 10.
Five cast members performed an 80-minute show and then answered students’ questions.
“This performance allowed us to integrate a truly enriching, entertaining, meaningful, and memorable experience into our Shakespeare units,” Corinne Rogulski, a Hen Hud English teacher, said in a press release. “The skillfully performed play, followed by a Q & A session with the actors, encouraged students to discuss their observations and synthesize their experience of watching the story enacted on the stage with that of reading the text in class.”
The actors with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival plan to visit 30 venues this spring, performing Macbeth for an estimated 14,000 people.
