Lakeland School Board Plans Four Budget Work Sessions

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The Lakeland Central School District Board of Education set the first of four budget work sessions for the year for Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m.

Topics for the meeting are scheduled to be the general support, operations and maintenance, and transportation budgets.

The other budget meetings were set for the first non-holiday Thursdays of February, March and April.

The Feb. 5 meeting will look at the technology, employee benefits, and debt service budgets, the March 5 meeting handles the instruction, special education and BOCES budgets and the April 9 meeting is to set the 2015-2016 budget.

All four meetings will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Administration Building, located at 1086 E. Main St. in Shrub Oak.

The budget meeting is open to the public and discussion is permitted on budget topics.

The next regular Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19 at Lincoln-Titus Elementary School, starting at 7:30 p.m.
