In celebration of Black History Month in February, students from Peekskill Middle School's DREAM program and Peekskill High School's PACE program traveled to the Cortlandt Town Center to view the movie, which is about a key moment in the civil rights movement during the 1960's.

After seeing the film himself, Littlejohn joined a nationwide effort to share the film with young people and helped raise more $70,000 to purchase movie tickets for students in Westchester County.

"It was a very rewarding experience for all of those involved," said Middle school PTO president Yolanda Guardino, who was one of the chaperones on the trip. "The students really enjoyed the movie and we are extremely thankful for the tickets."
