The proposed budget is $74.4 million, a 1.4 percent increase from the approved budget for 2014-15, according to the Hendrick Hudson School District’s recently issued newsletter.

The estimated tax rate increase is .02 percent for Cortlandt residents of the school district, and .1 percent for Peekskill residents of the school district.

The 2015-16 budget includes the replacement of one 72-passenger bus, one heavy-duty dump truck, two utility vehicles, two seven-passenger Suburbans, and three 20-passenger vans.

The annual bus proposition is $45,000 lower than last year’s, and includes shared expenses with area fire and ambulance agencies to enhance the fuel management system at the bus garage.

Two incumbent trustees, Mary-Pat Briggi of Croton-On-Hudson and Laurie Ryan of Cortlandt Manor, are running unopposed for two seats on the Board of Education.

Elections will be from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. at the Frank G. Lindsey School, 57 Trolley Road, Montrose.
