Byram Bay Bistro, which combines Polish and Jamaican cuisine is celebrating its grand opening in Hopatcong on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 393 Maxim Dr. The restaurant is run by husband and wife duo, Dominic Garbacz, who is Polish, and Marrie-Rose Garbacz, who is Jamaican.

"Our journey began with a shared love for tantalizing flavors and the joy of bringing people together through food," Marrie-Rose said. "As avid cooks, the idea of opening our own restaurant always simmered in our hearts."

Garbacz said she drove by the address numerous times, constantly thinking of what they would do if they had the spot. Garbacz believes patrons will be attracted to the blending of Jamaica's vibrant, spicy flavors with the hearty comfort of Poland's delicacies.

Menu items include jerk lamb chops, pierogi ruskie, braised curry chicken and a blackened salmon.

"Our menu is a reflection of our journey, offering an eclectic mix of dishes that celebrate both Jamaican zest and Polish warmth," Garbacz said. "We are excited to unite these vibrant Polish and Jamaican dishes, offering an eclectic menu that's as diverse as it is delicious."
