In a Nov. 3 interview on WCNY's "The Capitol Pressroom," when Walcott was asked about the ruling, he replied that he "didn't really see any formal indication that the district discriminated," reported lohud.com.

The district was investigated by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights after NAACP complaints of racial discrimination based on race and national origin, and other items. The Office determined that some the claims were true, said lohud.com.
