Peekskill: Who's On Your Ballot

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- There are no citywide races this year in Peekskill, but there are several high-profile state and federal races to be decided.

Peekskill residents can register to vote at city hall Oct. 10 and Oct. 13.

  • In the race to represent U.S. Congressional District 17, which now includes Peekskill, Democrat Nita Lowey will take on Republican challenger Joe Carvin.
  • Incumbent Republican Greg Ball is running against Democrat Justin Wagner in the newly redrawn state Senate District 40 race.
  • In the newly redrawn state Assembly District 95, incumbent Democrat Sandy Galef is being challenged by Republican Kim Izzarelli.

Voter registration applications must be postmarked no later than Oct. 12 and received by the board of elections no later than Oct. 17 to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.

Residents can register in person no later than Oct. 12. The city will be having voter registration drives at city hall from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 9 p.m. Oct. 13. Polling places can be found on the Westchester County website board of elections page.
