PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Mayor Frank Catalina appears to have given up on his attempt to oust City Manager Anthony Ruggiero from his position, according to The Northern Westchester Examiner.
Catalina and his colleagues claim the city charter is being violated by having Ruggiero stay in his post. The charter says a city manager must live within the city limits and must have three years experience in a similar position.
Ruggiero, who was appointed as the acting city manager in July 2013 lives in Fishkill and has no previous experience, The Northern Westchester Examiner reported.
