The election of Andre Rainey to Mayor of Peekskill as created a vacancy on the council. The current council is looking to appoint someone to fill his spot.

Prospective politicians must reside in the City of Peekskill, a be registered voter and have lived in the city for a minimum of three years.

Resumes and cover letters should be sent by Friday, Jan. 26 to the mayor's office via e-mail at arainey@cityofpeekskill.com or by mail to Mayor Andre Rainey, 840 Main Street, Peekskill, NY 10566.

The term will run until Election Day when a special election will be held for the seat.
