Yorktown Man Charged With DWI

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have a arrested a 24-year-old resident of Yorktown Heights on driving while intoxicated and multiple other charges after an incident outside a local convenience store.

The charges came about when an officer on routine street patrol spotted several people having a dispute in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, 1949 Commerce St., on Saturday, about 5:25 p.m., police report.

After an investigation at the scene, Jonathan A. Lobo was taken into custody, according to officials.

The suspect was charged with DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor, along with refusal of a breath test, parking in a fire zone and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, all traffic violations, police report.

Following processing at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was released on $200 cash bail, according to officials.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Aug. 4, police report.
