PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Police are investigating several claims of suspects damaging and vandalizing campaign signs throughout Peekskill.

The City of Peekskill Police Department has received multiple complaints from residents regarding the vandalism of the signs, which have not been isolated to any particular party or candidate.

Police said that signs from many candidates and multiple political parties have been damaged recently, prompting an investigation.

“The City of Peekskill Police Department takes these complaints seriously, and anyone found to be committing these unlawful acts is subject to arrest and criminal prosecution,” officials stated. Anyone with information can contact police by calling (914) 737-8000.
