PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Three area teens were arrested over the weekend for robbing a man at the Peekskill train station, according to city police.

Damon Chanofsky, 16, of Mahopac and two unnamed 15-year-old Peekskill residents were arrested on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 1:40 a.m. on Railroad Avenue and charged with first-degree robbery, a class B felony, police said.

The three teens were charged following an investigation by Police Detective Marcos Martinez into the knife point robbery of a male New York City resident at the Peekskill Train Station, police said.

The three suspects took a bag containing personal belongings from the victim and fled the scene. The bag and its contents were all later recovered by police. The suspects were located at a residence in Mohegan Lake and taken into custody without incident, according to police.

The two 15-year-olds were remanded to the Woodfield Cottages facility in Valhalla and Chanofsky was remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
