Three Stores Charged In Underage Drinking Detail In Dutchess

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police conducted an underage drinking enforcement detail in Dutchess County on Thursday, Sept. 25 and charged three stores and employees with failing to comply with state regulations, officials said.

Ana Farnham, 40, of Dover Plains, an employee at Shell station located at 2406 Route 44 in the Town of Pleasant Valley; Sami A. Abedalqader, 23, of Hyde Parr, an employee at the ExxonMobil station located at 1502 Route 55 in the Town of LaGrange; and Farooq Naseer, 36, of Poughkeepsie, an employee of the Apple Valley Gulf station, located at 688 Freedom Plains Road in the Town of LaGrange, were all issued appearance tickets for selling alcohol to a 19-year-old volunteer, police said. 

The following 15 establishments were found to be in compliance with state laws :

  • Walgreen’s Drug Store, 704 Freedom Plains Road, LaGrange 
  • Mobil, 1061 Freedom Plains Road, LaGrange
  • Exxon Mart, 718 Freedom Plains Road, LaGrange
  • A&P Grocery Store, Route 44, Pleasant Valley 
  • Route 44 Mart, 1415 Route 44, Pleasant Valley 
  • M&R Grocery & Gas, 1699 Route 44, Pleasant Valley
  • Valley Wine & Spirits, 13 North Ave, Pleasant Valley
  • Mobil, 1904 Route 44, Pleasant Valley 
  • CVS, 1546 Main St., Pleasant Valley
  • Getty, 1546 Main St., Pleasant Valley 
  • On-the-Go Convenience, Route 55 and Route 82, Lagrangeville
  • Gulf, 1220 Route 55, Lagrangeville
  • Terri’s Wine & Spirit’s, 2510 Route 44, Salt Point
  • Elkins Family Market, Route 82 & Bulls Head Road, Stanfordville
