Three Putnam Men, One Woman Face Drug Charges In Separate Incidents

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Three men and a woman are facing a variety of drug-related charges after each was arrested by Putnam County Sheriff’s Office deputies in separate incidents in Carmel, Brewster and Southeast.

In Carmel, a 34-year-old Patterson man already on probation for a previous offense was arrested after showing up to a meeting with his probation officer while illegally in possession of morphine, Hydrocodone, Lorazepam and Atropine, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniel Russell was arrested on July 26 after being found with the drugs despite not having the proper prescriptions, according to police.

Russell, who is accused of four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, was later released without bail to the custody of the Probation Department, according to police.

Amelia Andreasian was arrested in Brewster on Aug. 4 after undercover officers found her on Main Street with unspecified quantities of marijuana and Percocet, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The 23-year-old was ticketed and released without bail, according to police. She is to appear in Brewster Village Court at a later date to answer to charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

A 55-year-old Southeast man also was arrested in Brewster after he was found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine during a July 28 traffic stop, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Marcantonio was pulled over for alleged traffic violations, according to police. He was arrested at the scene and is accused of two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license and driving without a mandated ignition interlock device, according to police.

Marcantonio is to appear in Brewster Village Court at a later date.

Thomas Pecor, 27, of Southeast was taken into custody after he was found with cocaine and Adderall during an Aug. 2 traffic stop in Southeast, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Pecor, who also was pulled over for alleged traffic violations, was arrested at the scene and later charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to police. He was released without bail and ordered to appear in Southeast Town Court at a later date.
