On Dec. 12 at around 5:45 p.m., a father claimed his 8-year-old son had exited his house on Park Street when a white male between 40 and 50 years old with dark hair, clean shaven with a black hooded sweatshirt with front zipper and blue jeans began calling for the child across the street, according to Peekskill Police.
The suspect was holding a bag in one hand began calling and waving for the child to come with the other, according to Peekskill Police.
The child’s father then exited the house at which point the suspect ran to a gray colored Dodge Neon, got into the driver’s seat and fled west on Park St, then made a right hand turn north onto Field St and then east on Route 6 at which time the vehicle fled the area, according to Peekskill Police.
