Police Pursue Poughkeepsie Woman Wanted On Forgery Charge

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Millbrook-area woman is wanted by New York State Police in Poughkeepsie and Poughkeepsie Town Court following her arrest in July for allegedly stealing, cashing and forging checks from her former employer, according to police.

Maddison B. Hartsfield, 20, was charged with first-degree forgery and first-degree possession of a forged instrument, according to police at Troop K barracks.

She is described as having blond hair and green eyes, is 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 105 pounds, according to police.

Poughkeepsie Town Court issued a warrant ordering Hartsfield's arrest in September when she allegedly failed to appear for court proceedings, police said.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Hartsfield should contact the New York State Police as soon as possible.
