The North Castle Police Department received a report shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 7 from a resident of Nichols Road in Armonk who stated that earlier in the day, the man said he needed access to the home to check the family’s machines.

According to a police report released on Thursday, the man and his father allowed the suspect into their home, though they believe he may have been “casing the residence.”

Police described the suspect as a white male in his mid-50s with a thick mustache, wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. He was also driving a black minivan. Despite the report, the complainants reported that they do not believe any items were stolen.

Anyone with information regarding the incident has been asked to contact North Castle Police investigators by calling (914) 273-9500.
