PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police are offering a $500 reward for information after tires were slashed on more than 40 cars in the city.

Police posted video on their Facebook page of one of the suspects in the tire-slashing spree.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective John Merritt at 914-737-8000 who has been assigned to investigate the case.

"We are taking this cowardly act very seriously and will use all of our resources to identify and arrest the person (s) responsible," police said. "All callers may remain anonymous."

Lysa Schwartz Hoffman said the tire-slashing cost her $547.46 plus five hours of pay from missing work.

"Beyond furious," Hoffman said on the police's Facebook page.
