PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Two city men were arrested by police on assault charges following domestic disputes with their spouses.
Manuel Niguela-Pesantez, 32, of Peekskill, was arrested on July 25 at 2:55 p.m. and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, in the 600 Block of Highland Avenue by Police Officer Orlita Simmons. Niguela-Pesantez was accused of punching and kicking his wife several times, causing her several injuries, according to police.
Jose Reyes, 45, of Peekskill, was arrested on July 26 at 11:45 a.m. on a third-degree assault charge, a misdemeanor, in the 200 block of North Division Street by Police Officer Elizabeth Folch. Reyes was was accused of striking his wife several times in the face causing her injury, according to police.
Both men were held for arraignment in City Court.
