Peekskill Police Seek Help Catching Thirsty Shoplifter

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly stole a large quantity of beer from a city supermarket.

Police are looking for help identifying the black male seen entering the Stop & Shop grocery store in the video above. The man is believed to have left the store with nine cases of beer without paying, according to police.

At about  6:30 p.m. Friday, a black male entered the Stop & Shop grocery store at 1831 Main St. and placed nine 12 packs of Corona beer in a shopping cart and exited the store without paying, police said.
