Peekskill Police Charge Three On Felony Drug Charges

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Three people have been arrested on felony drug charges in separate incidents, the Peekskill police announced Tuesday.

Here are details on the arrests, according to the Peekskill police: 

  • Alaina Sessions, 28, of Peekskill, was arrested March 19 at 5:40 p.m. and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony, on Diven Street by Detectives Anthony Malfitano and Joseph McGann. Session’s arrest came after a year-and-a-half investigation by city police. She is accused of selling phencyclidine drugs to undercover officers during the investigation, police said.
  • Jerome Reed, 24, of Peekskill, was arrested March 21 at 6 a.m. and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, also a class B felony, on Constant Avenue by the Peekskill Police Narcotics Unit, New York State Parole and the U.S. Drug Task Force. Officers executed an arrest warrant at a Constant Avenue residence Thursday morning and found Reed, who was wanted on unrelated drug sales. A semi-automatic handgun was recovered during the arrest. Reed was charged with possession and sales of hallucinogen drugs and criminal possession of a weapon and held for arraignment, police said.
  • Deborah Downs, 42, of Pleasantville, was arrested March 21 at 12:06 p.m. and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, also a class B felony, on Nelson Avenue by Detectives Anthony Malfitano and Joseph McGann and Police Officer John Merritt. Downs was taken into custody after a one-year investigation into heroin sales in the city and was held for arraignment, according to police.
