PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – A Peekskill resident was in police custody after assaulting a man with a tire iron last week, police said.
Hugo Lalvay, 29, was arrested at 9 a.m. Oct. 16 and charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony, on Union Avenue by Police Officer Doug LaPerche, according to police.
Lalvay was arrested after a dispute and altercation with another man on Union Avenue at 7:30 a.m., police said. Lalvay struck the other man with a tire iron, cutting his head, police said.
Lalvay was held for arraignment in city court without bail.
Other arrests made by Peekskill police in the past week:
• William Ribaudo, 18, of Peekskill, was arrested at 1 a.m. Oct. 21 and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, on Main Street by Officer Fabian Gonzalez. An 18-year-old female acquaintance told police Ribaudo punched her in the face after an argument at a party, according to police. She sustained a chipped tooth and a swollen and cut lip, according to police. Ribaudo was held for arraignment in city court.
• Wilfred Incle, 40, of Peekskill, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and charged with two county of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, at the Crossroads Apartments parking lot on Brown Street by Police Officer Nick Franco. Franco stopped Incle after seeing him look into parked cars, police said. Incle was found him to be in possession of a small quantity of heroin and crack cocaine, police said. Incle was held for arraignment in city court without bail.
