Peekskill Man Charged In Table Smashing Incident

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. ‒ A Peekskill man was charged with criminal mischief following a domestic incident in his home in which he is accused of destroying a glass coffee table, according to police reports. 

John Allen, 50, was arrested by Officer Ed Lemp on Oct. 3 and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, police said. Allen was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Also from the police blotter:

Manfredo Castanon, 29, of Mohegan Lake, was arrested on Oct. 6 at 9:20 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

He was arrested by Police Officer Mike Agovino near the intersection of Park Street and North Division Street after allegedly crashing his car. Police said Castanon had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 percent. He was released on $500 bail and is due in city court on Oct. 29
