Peekskill Man Charged With Endangering The Welfare Of A Child In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A man was recently arrested on three misdemeanor charges for assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Ernest Burkett, 32, of Peekskill, is being detained by the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $5,000 cash or a $10,000 bail bond, court records show.

Burkett allegedly assaulted two people during a domestic dispute in Yorktown June 13, and also endangered the welfare of a child, according to police.

Burkett turned himself in to authorities Tuesday, and is scheduled for another appearance in Yorktown Court July 7, police said.
