Peekskill Man, 88, Arrested After Shots Fired

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – An 88-year-old Peekskill resident is in police custody in connection with shots fired Monday afternoon.

Police responded to a report of a gunshot fired at Building 5 of the Hampton Oaks housing complex on Oakwood Drive about 4 p.m., according to Peekskill Police spokesman Lt. Eric Johansen.

"We have taken into custody a resident of one of the apartments there, an adult male, 88 years old," Johansen said. "We're investigating the circumstances surrounding the shot that was fired but we can confirm that one was fired."

No injuries were reported, Johansen added.
