The unidentified driver was traveling on the Salt Point Turnpike in Poughkeepsie when he lost control of his car, crossed the center lane, drove through three lawns and then plowed into the porch and front of a home at 540 Salt Point Turnpike, said Sheriff's Lt. Michael Dampt.

Deputies believe the crash was medically-related, but are still investigating the cause, he added.

The crash caused extensive damage to the front porch and front room of the home, Dampt said.
