Mohegan Lake Man Is Charged With Injuring Woman After Throwing Glass

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – James M. Marks, a Mohegan Lake resident, has been charged with assault after he allegedly threw a drinking glass at a woman and struck her in the arm on Sunday, Jan. 18, according to Yorktown police.

Police said that two officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic incident. Following an investigation, its alleged that Marks threw the drinking glass toward the victim, striking her in the arm with the glass and caused bruising and swelling to the victim’s wrist and a cut to her lip, police said. Marks was located at the Cortlandt Town Center and following further investigation was placed under arrest on the assault charge.

Following processing, Marks was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and released on his own recognizance to a family member. Marks is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m.
