FISHKILL, N. Y. -- A 54-year-old Poughquag man is facing an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge after New York State Police stopped his car on Route 9 in Fishkill and discovered his license was revoked from a previous DWI charge, police said.
Jeremy K. Schokman is charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed driving and driving while intoxicated, both Class E felonies, police said. Troopers stopped his car Saturday for speeding and swerving while driving on Route 9, police said.
A police investigation showed his license had been revoked because of a prior DWI arrest, police said. Troopers said he was intoxicated while driving Saturday.
He was issued traffic tickets requiring him to appear March 7 in the Village of Fishkill Court, police said.
