Marise J. Hamilton, 27, was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 16 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, among charges, according to a Troop K barracks police report.
At about 12:40 p.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop for a dark window tint on Route 9 by Smithtown Road, said police.
Hamilton, the driver, was reportedly found to have a suspended driver's license, according to police.
Upon investigating, he was allegedly found to possess heroin, marijuana, bags, a digital scale, and a high-capacity handgun magazine, police said.
Hamilton was additionally charged with: second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to police.
He was arraigned at Town of Wappinger Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail, in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond, with a next appearance set for Nov. 17, said police.
