The latest charge came about in connection with a July 9 incident in which a female walking at Turkey Point Preserve was allegedly chased, jumped upon and harassed by two dogs in the park, police report.

In a separate incident Aug. 15, park patrons were again harassed by two dogs at the preserve, authorities said.

Responding officers were able to identify the dogs' alleged owner, Valdet Lajqi, resulting in a summons being issued for the previous incident, police report.

Lajqi appeared at the Yorktown Police Department on Saturday, about 10:30 a.m., and was issued the summons, according to officials.

He has been charged two counts of allowing a dog to run at-large in a recreational area, along with two counts of allowing a dog to chase, jump upon or harass a person, police report.

Lajqi was processed at the police department, and is scheduled to answer the charges in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Sept. 13, according to officials.

The latest charges come on the heels of a similar incident allegedly involving Lajqi’s dogs that occurred on Aug. 22.
