Kaylen Lipford of Mackeller Court was arrested at the Westchester County Jail where he is serving weekends following a conviction on an unrelated charge. He is being charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree after the Westchester County Crime Lab notified the department that a sample of blood collected from one of the multiple tires that was slashed June 2 matched Lipford’s DNA.

Police are continuing to investigate numerous other tire-slashing incidents that occurred between May 30 and June 3.

Lipford was returned to the Westchester County Jail and is due in Peekskill City Court Aug. 13 to face the new charges.
