Estrella was stopped for an unrelated vehicle and traffic offense by officers in the Carmel Police department and a check showed an active bench warrant, according to police. Police said the warrant stemmed from Estrella’s failure to appear in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, March 18 in connection with a petit larceny and disorderly conduct charges.
Estrella was placed under arrest and processed on the charge at the police department, according to police.
Estrella was released on suggested bail of $250. He is scheduled to be arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.
