Mahopac Man Charged With Bail Jumping, Yorktown Police Say

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Winaudy Estrella, a 20-year-old Mahopac resident, has been charged with bail jumping in the third degree, Yorktown police said.

Estrella was stopped for an unrelated vehicle and traffic offense by officers in the Carmel Police department and a check showed an active bench warrant, according to police. Police said the warrant stemmed from Estrella’s failure to appear in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, March 18 in connection with a petit larceny and disorderly conduct charges.

Estrella was placed under arrest and processed on the charge at the police department, according to police.

Estrella was released on suggested bail of $250. He is scheduled to be arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.
