The spill, located in front of Putnam Valley Library at 30 Oscawana Lake Road, is causing traffic to be detoured to Lake Peekskill Road going out of town, officials said.

Putnam County hazmat crews have been requested to clean up the "large" spill,  which fire officials said most likely came from a large truck.
