Jeep Reported Stolen From Croton Auto Park

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Croton Police are investigating a report of a car theft from Croton Auto Park that happened Tuesday evening.

A caller from Croton Auto Park reported a black, 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen from the lot at about 6:30 p.m., and said he or she had possibly seen the car head north on Route 9, at Municipal Place. The truck is believed to still have dealer license plates, and Croton Police said they're investigating the theft.

The following items were also reported by Croton Police:

- Timothy Walker, 46, violated an order of protection, and was charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt at about 10 a.m. on Sept. 26, according to Croton Police.

- A caller reported someone used his personal information to order a computer from Hewlett-Packard and had the computer delivered to his home. Another order using the man's personal information, scheduled for delivery to a home on Grand Street, had already been cancelled by Hewlett-Packard security, police said. The incident was reported Sept. 27, 10 p.m.

- A caller reported the license plates were stolen from his or her vehicle, while it was parked in front of Hunan Wok, Croton Police said. The incident was reported at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28.

- A vehicle slid off Mount Airy Road into a ditch, where Croton Police said patrols conducted an accident investigation on-scene.  No one was injured in the accident. The incident was reported just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 29.

- A caller on Palmer Avenue reported the strong odor of gas on Oct. 1 around 7 a.m. Croton Police said he was advised to evacuated all members of the household until the fire department arrived. Con Edison was notified, the utility company was doing work in the area, said Croton Police. A resident of Benedict Boulevard also reported the strong odor of gas in the area that same day.
