Five Hospitalized After Driver Strikes Tree In Croton

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Five were hospitalized in a one-vehicle crash in Croton-on-Hudson on Monday night after the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.

Crews from the Croton Fire Department, state police and paramedics from Croton and Ossining were dispatched to a stretch of Croton Avenue shortly before 6:20 p.m. on Monday following reports of a car striking the tree.

Fire officials said that crews were on scene within six minutes, and there was no entrapment or car fire following the crash. After assisting the drivers and passengers from the vehicle, all five were treated at the scene for minor injuries and transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla as a precaution and for further treatment on non-life-threatening injuries. They have since been released.
