Employee Charged With Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall Store

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- An employee of Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall has been charged with stealing money from the store, Yorktown police said.

Louise Miller, 59, of Jefferson Valley, a sales associate, was accused of taking $55 from several cash registers Sunday evening and hiding it down the front of her pants, police said.

She was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.

Miller was arraigned, released on her own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Monday, police said.
