PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - An elderly Peekskill man involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Welcher Avenue was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital, police said.
The man sustained what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries after hitting a curb Wednesday evening while pulling out of the Welcher Avenue McDonald's, said Peekskill Police Chief Eric Johansen. No one was else was injured or involved in the accident, Johansen said. Area roads were closed for about an hour, he said.
"He was leaving the McDonald's drive-through and somehow jumped the curb, went up on an embankment and his vehicle partially overturned," Johansen said. "He was taken from the scene by Peekskill ambulance. He was transported for further treatment, but we don't believe they were major injuries."
