Cortlandt Manor Man Charged In Yorktown With Second DWI In Four Months

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 54-year-old Cortlandt Manor man was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle Monday.

Police received a report of a vehicle crossing the double yellow line at Crompond Road. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of 2041 Saw Mill River Road and it was determined Vasel Balbona was driving with a suspended license from a pending prosecution for an alcohol related offense and while having a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or more.

Balbona was released on $750 bail and is due back in court on Aug. 31.

In May, Balbona was arrested in Yorktown with a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit after being stopped on Saw Mill River Road for driving erratically.
