The arrest came about after the break-in at Xclusive Cuts, 880 South Lake Blvd. in Mahopac, was reported on Aug. 29, according to officials.
An investigation revealed that entry had been gained through a side door, and that money was stolen from the cash register and workstation, police report.
As a result of the investigation, Carmel resident Armando L. Cass was developed as a suspect; investigators from the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant on Cass’ vehicle and residence on Tuesday, according to officials.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged with burglary in the third degree, along with criminal mischief in the third degree, both felonies, police report.
