Beacon Police Search For Suspect Who Shot, Killed 25-Year-Old

BEACON, N.Y. -- Beacon police detectives are searching for a suspect in the Monday evening shooting death of a 25-year-old man.

Police responded to the South Davies Terrace area at 9:30 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of shots fired.

Police responded to the South Davies Terrace area at 9:30 p.m., after receiving a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found the unidentified man who had been shot, police said.

He was taken to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he later died.

Police were not releasing the name of the victim Tuesday afternoon, and added that there had been no arrests in the case.
