Bernardino Cazares-Fuentes of LaGrange was arrested Monday after deputies responded to a report of sexual assault in the town, said Capt. John Watterson.
Following an investigation, detectives arrested Cazares-Fuentes for forcibly subjecting the victim to sexual contact, Watterson said.
The victim and Cazares-Fuentes are known to each other, and at this time there doesn’t appear to be any danger to public safety, he added.
Cazares-Fuentes was charged with felony sexual abuse. He is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 bond.
Neither the age nor gender of the victim was released.
