CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A second employee of the Indian Point nuclear power plants was arrested Friday in connection with an ongoing investigation of the theft of copper wire and equipment, New York State Police say .

Christopher L. Albea, 40, of Wappingers Falls, was charged with felony grand larceny. Police said he is suspected of selling the wire to a Dutchess County scrap yard for more than $10,000.

Albea, a 20-year employee at the Buchanan-based facility, is the second worker charged in the case.

Theodore Kozelka, 33, of Tarrytown, a maintenance supervisor, was also charged with felony grand larceny. He is accused of stealing more than $50,000 worth of scrap metal and copper cable between July and December, police said.

Albea was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court Friday and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He's scheduled to appear in Buchanan Village Court on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m.

A spokesperson for Indian Point Energy Center declined to comment because the investigation is ongoing.

State Police are asking anyone with information about  the case to call 914-737-7171. All calls will remain confidential.
