PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Theresa Marino, a longtime Peekskill area resident, died Monday, Oct. 27.. She was 81.
Marino was born April 17, 1933, in Verplanck, to Joseph and Mary Tallerico Marino. A graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School, she worked for over 40 years as a secretary at Burnwell Gas Co., Peekskill. She was a member of the Peekskill Senior Citizens, and was a lay associate with the Franciscan Sisters of Peekskill.
Marino is survived by her sister, Angeline (James) DeSocio; brother, Joseph (Greta) Marino; sister-in-law, Margaret Marino; a nephew and nieces; and four grandnephews and a grandniece. She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Vincent Marino.
Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St., Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Assumption Church, Peekskill, followed by burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Verplanck.
