PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Steven Rose, a longtime Peekskill resident, died July 23. He was 65.
He was born Dec. 20, 1946.
Rose retired after 40 years as teacher at Peekskill Middle School. He was president of the Peekskill Faculty Association for more than 20 years.
He was an active member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church of Peekskill, where he served as head deacon for many years. Rose was also a member of Beta Kappa Beta fraternity of SUNY Plattsburgh.
A memorial celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill. E.O. Curry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount Olivet Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry.
