PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Rose "Babe" Zotto, a lifetime Peekskill resident, died on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 89.
She was born in Peekskill on Feb. 14, 1926, to Frederico and May Annacone Mirra.
Zotto married Samuel Zotto Sr. at the Assumption Church, in 1947. She worked in the infirmary of St. Joseph's Home, in Peekskill.
She is survived by her children, Samuel Zotto Jr. of Fishkill, Richard Zotto of Buchanan and Christina Gioacchini of Peekskill; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a step-sister Barbara Antonacci of Lancaster, Pa.
Zotto was predeceased by her husband Samuel Zotto Sr. and brother Louis Mirra.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, in Peekskill.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Assumption Church, with interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
