PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Marion F. Lancaster, a longtime Peekskill resident, died Sept. 9. She was 97.
Lancaster was the owner and manager of Yukon Bar and Restaurant in Peekskill for many years.
She was born April 17, 1915, in Peekskill to Frank V. and Mary Valente Shea. She attended Assumption School and Peekskill High School and married Augustine Carbone at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. He predeceased her in 1965.
She later married Robert Lancaster, who predeceased her in 1988. Lancaster was a communicant at Assumption Church. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and attended many West Point football games, enjoying tailgating with her family and friends.
Lancaster is survived by a son, Robert T. (Elaine) Carbone; a daughter, Judith A. Carbone; a sister, Margaret M. Curran; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Joseph Shea.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home in Peekskill. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Assumption Church in Peekskill. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
